In The Cellar

The vineyards are at an altitude of between 150 and 250 metres above sea level, on old and weathered soils of decomposed granite in Stellenbosch’s Polkadraai Hills.

These ancient and distinct soils of the Cape underpin the quality of this wine, producing a uniquely African white blend.

Tasting

Aromas of fruit, spice and a touch of the granitic soil’s minerality, which follows through onto the palate, creates tension and excitement all at once.

Nectarine, quince and melon are given depth by touches of spice, lemongrass and ginger, while hints of florals provide a further dimension.

Time in older oak and concrete egg, with close lees contact, gives the wine breadth and depth on the palate and keeps the focus with a saline and savoury linger.

Tasting Notes

Haarlem to Hope 2023 captivates the senses with a vibrant bouquet of bright fruits, including nectarine, pear, and melon, intertwined with subtle hints of spice, lemongrass, and ginger.
